The Lighthouse Skills – Introductory Workshop is structured into two parts: Workshop A and Workshop B, each consisting of six interactive sessions (2 hours each). This dual-phase programme provides a comprehensive introduction to essential academic, creative, and leadership skills, equipping students with the tools needed for excellence in advanced studies and competitions.
Workshop A: Foundations of Thinking & Expression
Developing Critical Thinking, Communication, and Research Skills
Session 1: The Gifted Mindset & Learning How to Learn
Exploring different gifted profiles and learning strengths
Growth mindset, self-motivation, and learning strategies
Memory techniques and study habits for high achievers
Session 2: Critical Thinking & Logical Reasoning
Understanding logical fallacies and biases
Solving brain teasers and real-world problem scenarios
Introduction to argument analysis
Session 3: Effective Communication & Public Speaking
Overcoming stage fright and improving confidence
Speech structuring and persuasive techniques
Impromptu speaking and storytelling exercises
Session 4: Writing for Impact – Storytelling & Persuasion
